Week 11

Chrome / Reflective Material Finish 

A composition including one chrome cube and one chrome cylinder , adjacent but not touching, sitting on a common flat white surface in 3 pt. perspective and lit by a single point artificial light source so as to make distinct cast shadows. The objects should not be backlit and 3 sides of the cube should be visible. The cylinder should clearly include a reflection of the cube and its shadow and the cube should show a reflection of the cylinder and/or its shadow.

Technique / Materials

             a)        for study drawings 14”X17” bond paper. Graphite Pencil,Triangle or straight edge. 
                        Department elipse guides.
b)              Adobe Photoshop. Render RGB file at 300dpi, 8.5” x 11”. Recommended: portable hardrive, wacom tablet.
c)              Ink Jet Print on High Quality Glossy Photo paper. High Quality settings.
Typical:  Epson 1280 inkjet printer 1400dpi


Due next week 2:00 PM Monday

On the wall:  

1 page: Rendered RGB file printed at 300dpi on 8.5” x 11” High Quality Glossy Photo paper or Semi Gloss photo paper due on the wall, tape on back, in front conference room

Thumbnail Sketches of at least 3 ideas for final form analysis project. We will select one


Also bring materials to work in class after crit next week:

 14"x 17" bond paper with indigo blue pastel p 295, and matching indigo blue Prismacolor pencil, and indigo blue markers. Triangle or straight edge.
